The papers used here is the Harvest Gathering stacks my DCWV, both the solid and pattern. For the pennants, Lettering Delights has a nice SVG set for $2. I cut five of the fish tale looking one. Instead of folding them over the twine, I cut them in half. I knew ahead of time I wanted the twine to go over the front of the lettering. Why? I needed to see the wonderful twine from my friend Lesley of Trendy Twine. It is in Orange Truffle (yummy!), perfect for Thanksgiving or Autumn projects.
In Make the Cut, I brought in the “Give Thanks” text in Oklahoma font to the mat. Then just made a simple shadow layer. Then glue all three pieces together, punch holes for the twine and string them together. Easy peasy lemon squeezee!
Oh, I have been on this making crinkle ribbon kick. Do you see that lovely crinkly bow? Yep, I made that myself. Trust me it looks better in person. I have been experimenting with various inks and techniques. This was not my best colors, you should see the persimmon one I made. So purdy!
Hope you enjoyed today’s project. Come back tomorrow for some more Holiday crafts. Happy Friday everyone!
