Her birthday isn’t until October but I don’t know when we will see her again. She pretty much loves any craft I made and is really easy to make something for. For the masking, I used contact paper cut with my new Silhouette Cameo. I adore this mum flourish designed by Samantha Walker, available in the Silhouette Store.
Hope you enjoyed today’s project and stick around for my big announcement in the middle of August! Thanks for stopping by and if there is anyone who knows why all of the sudden my camera can’t take a decent white picture (after I had the WB perfect!) anymore.
Supplies:
Glass jar at thrift store for less than $2 (shhh, don’t tell MIL I’m cheap)
Silhouette Cameo
contact paper

Really pretty design! Hmm, I haven’t etched anything for a while either… 🙂

how long did you leave the etching cream on? The bottle says 60 seconds but mine always comes out too light. I saw online to leave it on for up to 7 minutes but that seems so long…thoughts?

I usually leave it on up to five minutes. I had problems with it not etching deep enough too. I sometimes walk away, get doing something else and forget about it. I have left it on glass for over 20 minutes before. Doesn’t always mean I get a deeper etch.
I did purchase a air eraser for better etching. Works so much better, but it broke. I would have used that instead of the cream. HTH
