Happy Spring! It wasn’t so happy at first because of the bitter cold, but yesterday was one beautiful day and felt like Spring….finally. Thinking Spring made me bring out this adorable sugar egg cutting file from My Scrap Chick. Sugar eggs are a very fond memory for me. I remember every year my grandmother bringing one or two home from work. I loved looking inside to see the different sugary scenes in each one. I would occasionally lick the outside when my gram wasn’t looking.
My little scene isn’t as complex as those eggs in my youth. I went simple this year because I may switch this out and put little chocolate eggs or another goody. That way no kid goes about licking this one. Those of you that know kids know it can happen.
The chick with flower print n’ cut does not come with the sugar egg file. Chickie here was a freebie a few years back. I searched the MSC site and don’t see it available anymore. If you collect freebies like I do, then check your stash. You may already have it. Or just use the egg as an excuse to get one of those delicious mini Dove chocolate bunnies that cost a trillion dollars at CVS. The price reflects that it is wrapped in gold after all…..
